How do large items get shipped?

Items that are bigger than UPS, USPS, FedEx or other parcel carriers deliver will be sent by uShip after the item is purchased. The Buyer will set up a uShip account and begin the process of selecting a transport company. Video from uShip below.

When a "Big and Bulky" or "Crated and Palleted" item is purchased, several things happen:

  1. The Buyer is charged for the item, per normal, but no shipping is charged yet.
  2. The Buyer gets an email to set up a uShip account (or log into their existing account) so they can get quotes on shipping.
  3. Buyers have all of the information the Seller has input about the large item, but may need to ask some additional questions posed by the transporter thru the messaging system on the buyer/seller dashboards
  4. Some providers on uShip offer a variety of services including packaging or crating.
  5. The Buyer will select the quote they wish to use, and the shipping cost is deposited into a secure account to be released when the shipment is delivered, safe and sound.
